3D Class Week 14 Creating An Environment Part 02 (Landscape Tool and Custom Rock Set)
This week we created terrain in UE4 using the landscape tool. I also created a Substance Painter Generator to shorten the time needed to sculpt a stylized rock set. The rock set its self contains small, medium, and large variants.
Using the material below, an artist could sculpt rocks in zbrush, apply the generator in substance painter, and quickly export the maps to easily plug them in to the nodes below. This material allows anyone to modify of edge size, gradient direction, and rock texture tiling and color of any rough sculpted asset with ease (it also includes the option to have a moss texture replace AO).
