3D Class Week 13 Creating An Environment Part 01 (tiling textures/geometry)

Orbos Textures

The objective for this week was to create two tillable textures for an environment. I chose to work with the Orbos team to create ruin-type wall textures.

The first texture is an ancient, yet relatively preserved marble brick, as if it was inside for hundreds of years. It has been sheltered from the elements so it still retains some reflectivity. I used an Egyptian brick as reference, as it seemed old, but not yet torn apart from years of weather damage.

The second texture was a sandstone based on the Illios map from Overwatch. This sandstone has been outside for centuries, so it is cracked, covered in sand particles, and has suffered significant erosion from the wind and sea.
