2D Class Week 10 Film - Alien

This week we watched Alien.

1. Who was the director of the film? What other movies has this director produced?

Ridley Scott was the director of this film, and is well known for directing films like Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, Hannibal, American Gangster, and The Martian.

2. Artistically, what did you like about this film?

I love the use of lighting against the intricate sets. All the little knobs and embellishments of the computer and spaceship equipment were highlighted by the sparse rays of light and cast very interesting shadows in every scene.

3. What is the name of Ripley's cat?

Ripley’s Cat’s name is Jones.
